Total guesswork on my part as GP has admitted to me he has no knowledge of transdermal hrt

If you look at British Menopause Society website & do a search an NHS menopause specialist comes up as Dr Jessica Danielson at the Wooda Surgery in Bideford.

I always think that something is worth a punt as you never know if you don't ask.

Should you decide to try privately i have heard that Dr Sarah Gray is good.

She has set up the St Erme Medical in Truro which is not so far for you to travel.  It is on the BMS website.  I enquired for my daughter and was told that it would be more likely to see a member of her team rather than Dr Gray herself as she deals with the more complex cases now.  Looks like there is online consultation too.

Hi, Can you pls tell me how long you had bleeding when you started hrt? Was it longer than 6 months. And did you see a specialist about this and if so what was their advice.

I'm just over 6 months and had a bleed. Been on Estalis Continuous patches 50/140 6 months and had irregular bleeding. I just informed my doc who said it could be caused by not enough estrogen so hes bumped me up to higher dose of progesterone 50/250 now.

I am reluctant to increase dose and will only do so if this bleeding stops completely. Now I'm not sure if I should just wait about a month to see what happens and this will be over 6 months or just take the higher dose and be done with it.

This is driving me insane.

Interested to get your experience with this.

Thanks kindly.
