Hi All,

I hope someone can help me re:the application of Testogel, which was prescribed for me earlier this week. I haven’t used it yet, but want to do so starting tomorrow. The consultant told me to use one squirt every three days, but I didn’t think to ask how far out I rub it in? Is it a cream or a gel? do you need to spread it out as thin as possible, or does it sink in after a while, like Estrogel?
I plan to put it on my outer thigh - is that ok? Can it go in same place every three days? I use estragel on my inner thighs, so hoping that is ok too? ( she also prescribed me Estrogel and before this I used patches). I’ve been on HRT for nearly two years.

Testogel is normally a pea (fairly large pea) size amount each day making a 40.5 mg sachet last 8 days. Ok on outer thighs. As it’s only a small amount rubs in quickly.
It’s a gel and I use a bag clip to reseal it each time

I use Tostran and found the hairs where I applied it grew blacker and thicker. You may it's the same with testogel? I now apply it to my instep where it seems to work just as well but avoids the problem.

Thankyou - I don’t have a sachet, I have been given a pump dispenser ( the type that men gave apparently) that I’m told will last three months. I’m supposed to put one pump on below the waist every three days. It’s good to know it’s a gel, but I don’t know how big this pumped amount is ( I assume not big) so do you rub it in until it disappears or spread it thinly and wait for it to dry?
