Continuous Utrogestan question
« on: April 25, 2023, 07:59:43 PM »

I’ve probably asked similar before; apologies!

Short q is: if still having light bleeds is continuous ok?

Context: Gp put me onto continuous after a year on hrt and v light sporadic periods. Also put oestrogen up as bloods showed low. I also wanted to try for better consistency mood swing wise and also as I’m on thyroxine.

I suggested 25/28 as knew I was still i  peri. She wasn’t bothered either way.

After very occasional spotting but still ongoing symptoms I then went to 200 and 125 patches oestrogen. Plus testosterone. I do like utro (I think! Sometimes wonder if I have tired phases!) as it helped hugely with water retention and sleep. I also think joints and night sweats too (have since seen a Nick Panay webinar confirming it can!)

The same week I went to 125 patches I caught covid - it definitely knocks me as well as my hrt. I had a v light bleed / heavy spotting every two weeks till the last month. The last bleed and this have been middle of the 28 days.

Is it best to:
a/ carrying on as I have,
b/ reset by stopping utro for 3 days now,
c/ just do continuous and have occasional bleeds?

Or d/ Someone here said once they just stopped for 3 days when they started spotting - try this?

Im most tempted by c….

Covid is known to put mess things up so I would carry on as before and hope it sorts itself out with a bit more time.
