I have had an appointment with a Urologist due to frequent urination and lower abdomen pain. Awaiting an ultrasound scan. I am a week into using Vagifem and Ovastin cream, which seems to be helping to cut down on my through the night visits to the loo. The Urologist was very insistent that I continued to use it, as she believes it helps a lot. I was advised to cut out tea, coffee and carbonated drinks. I do enjoy a morning cuppa, so this will be hard to cut out. She also recommended bladder training. She advised on other various treatments for an overactive bladder, but none of them seem to be without side effects. It is so frustrating to have this on top of all the other menopause symptoms, isn't it? I too am keen to know if anyone has any other recommendations.
