To split or not to split? Gel query
« on: March 27, 2023, 11:46:46 AM »

Hello ladies and it’s my second post this week 🙄!

I’ve tried splitting my dose for a few nights (2 am and 2 pm) but have noticed night sweats still in the early morning.

What are people’s experiences? Did you find it best to put in in one go?
I’ve done this previously for 2.5 years and had zero flushing. I’m at a loss as what to do and know I need to do 3 months on the 4 pumps, but fed up not knowing what’s best.

I’m absorbing- recent bloods 385 pmol without gel application in the morning, so really at a loss now.

So, my question is did ladies find the full dose at one go better and did the splitting make matters worse?

Thanks for any thoughts xx

Hi, I started off with 3 pumps all in the morning. When I went up 4 pumps I could not spread it thinly enough so I split it 3:1 ( naturally your oestrogen levels are slightly lower at night.)

For me the split dose was much better my night sweats were better controlled and my sleep improved.

But everyone is different.
