I’m on Sandrena ( 8 sachets) and Utrogestan (100mcg) vaginally for the last two weeks of my cycle so the luteal phase. What I’m finding is that I’m very very anxious two weeks before my period :(. I still have many symptoms insomnia, painful joints, crying etc.  I used to have PMS when i was younger but this is on a another level. Early peri ..all my symptoms used to be during the last two weeks and now I’m feeling my symptoms (itchy skin, back ache, sadness)  all throughout the month even post my period. I am perimenopausal and still having bleeds. It’s been a real battle to try and optimise and work out why HRT is not absorbing for me.  :'(If there was any recommendations please for constant PMS and progesterone sensitivity…  anything that could help I would be most grateful! I tried mirena coil which didn’t help.

Thanks so much,

I find agnus castus very useful indeed and was encouraged to continue using it by Nick Panay despite some sources stating that one shouldn't take it if also on HRT. I find it definitely stabilises the mood swings etc. Don't bother with the 4mg one from Boots, I use one from Amazon called Premeze, I think Vogel also do drops.

Thank you so much Lazsla, re Agnus Castus .. how much do you take and when morning or night? Do you take it daily or just for the luteal two weeks?
I’m taking sandrena and utrogestan during the final two weeks and have pms most days!

Thanks so much
