The medics do love to push the mirena! I’m sure cost is a factor (it’s cheap around £80). If you’ve had problems with it previously I would avoid, it’s your body and your can say no. Some women are fine with it but I had to have mine removed after 6 months because of effect on mood which never got any better - within 48 hours it resolved.
Re utrogestan increasing risk of breast cancer that’s poppycock, utro is a breast friendly option. There’s more risk from synthetic prog.
