Starting HRT, weird Symptoms
« on: March 15, 2023, 09:46:24 PM »

I started HRT 6 weeks ago (merina coil and evorel 50 patches) and have noticed some weird symptoms. Wondering if anyone else has experienced bone pain, particularly in bottom of heels, and tail bone pain? I have never had either prior to starting HRT so it surely must be related? It’s not plantar fasciitis as I’ve had that before and I haven’t injured myself. It’s making standing quite difficult and when the tail bone pain starts (it’s intermittent) i can’t sit down! I’m really hoping it settles in time as I know it’s still early days however I fear to get rid of some of the peri symptoms I’m just going to end up with different ones! My main peri symptoms are mood swings, joint/muscle pain, constant daily headaches, chronic back ache, brain fog, acne. Most have eased a little, however I now have these new symptoms.

Morning.  I wonder if it's the HRT flooding more blood into the areas aggravating what are often common pains?  As oestrogen levels drop so. muscles may become weak = aches and pains.  I think that there is a similar recent thread running here ........ [see what I did there and it's Oh So Early  ::)].

Dropped arches can be made worse at 'our time of Life'.  Have U injured your coccyx in the past?  Mine flares up when constipated  >:(  ::)

No I’ve never injured my coccyx, that I can recall. I’ve experienced other symptoms since starting HRT though, more severe mood swings, unsteadiness (especially when doing things like yoga which have never been an issue) weird blood spots and bruising. So maybe all part of the HRT settling into my system? A telephone apt with my GP suggested checking bloods although next appointment is 4 weeks away, so I guess I will just have to put up with it until then! I really hate being a women atm, I hate being me in fact. I’ve had a constant daily tension type headache for over two years now plus constant lower back pain as well as pain in groin, hips and pelvis. No one seems to be able to offer any solutions  :(
