Memory issues - how bad does this get?
« on: February 10, 2023, 11:46:50 AM »

Hi, I am looking for some shared experiences to help with talking to docs.  I am 60, post meno and on HRT. The first year of HRT was a complete flop, as I wasnt absorbing with post treatment levels of 82. Now on Estrogel for three months, yet I feel I am in further decline with the most terrible disorientation and memory lapses, unable to retain information or even think straight. I am now also, after three months on the gel developing itchy skin and an increase in tinnitus bouts. I had a car accident a year ago and was thrown against the steering wheel, still going through medical process with insurance claim. I am wondering if this memory issue could be a red herring with me assuming its menopause. So I thought It may be helpful to know to what extent others have such severe memory lapses.  (long process with accident dealings, still waiting for specialist assessments, x-rays etc)

Thanks

Hi!  your brain may well be overwhelmed + shock relating to the accident.

MayB put the HRT medication into the search box to see any threads that pop up.   Make notes ;-).
