Yes, even got told it was cancer.
It wasn't.
A lot of breast imaging throws up false positives. As well as that there are a number of things that need a closer look but will not be BC. And there are some types of BC that would stay inert through a woman's life and never cause a problem but because of mammography, they are found, so have to be dealt with (just in case), but there is debate whether those even should be grouped under BC.
So there are so many possible outcomes, it's not black and white. My doctor said to me when I was told it was BC without even a biopsy, he calmly said we must wait and see what it is first. It wasn't BC but something benign.
