Deodorant/ Antiperspirant. Recommends?
« on: June 16, 2022, 03:49:45 PM »

Can anyone help here? I have been using Bionsen these last few years but feel I need a change especially in this heat. The trouble is a lot of products give me a rash. So I need something gentle that actually works.

Try Dove.  I use the stick not the roll-on.

I use Superdrug's own brand roll on. They make one especially for sensitive skin.

Thanks everyone! Have tried Dove in the past but will try the others. Don't know whether the testosterone is making me a bit sweatier.....

Anti-perspirant means it stops sweat forming

Deodorant - takes away any smell caused by bacteria

I use a small white rock, it’s a bit bigger than a golf ball and has one flat base, I don’t know what it’s called. Bought it in Paris in 1995, you wet the rock, wipe it under armpits after washing. Doesn’t smell of anything or leave a mark. I’d love to buy one for a friend, does anybody know what it is called please?

It seems that Dove started making bad deodorants, or they just stopped working for me with age ... I use Nivea, so far so good

I use a roll-on called Perspirex, always had a sweating issue.  I only need to use it once every couple of weeks and use Dove every day.

Just read an article about a number of celebrities that don't use deoderant because of the links to cancer?

That's old hat from about the mid-1970s.

Wonder what they are basing their info on?  I don't require much, though if we go somewhere posh I dab a little under each arm.
