Continuous bleeding on hrt
« on: January 25, 2023, 01:50:41 PM »

Hi everyone,
I'm still very new here and trying to catch up with all things menopausal, but I'm wondering if anyone can help me please?
I take 2 x 0.5 sandrena gel sachets per day plus utrogestan 200 mg from day 14 - 28 of my cycle. This last month I have bled right through theonth, every day, without a break. Some days are heavier than others.
Is this normal? Will it settle eventually? Should my HRT be changed?
Sorry for all the questions but it's knocked me a bit.
Thanks for you help ☺️

I would leave it a longer to see if it settles. It's possible your own cycle is out of step with the hrt but then you'd expect 2 bleeds rather than one continuous one. If it doesn't settle I would ask for a scan as it's possible you have fibroids or polyps.

Thanks Sheila99 - I was on different HRT last year (evorel sequi) and I had to come off it because of a polyp which I had removed - all was fine, but I've only been on this new regime quite recelty, would a polyp come develop that quickly? Thanks
