Sudden breast pain 1 year on from HRT , - normal ?
« on: December 30, 2022, 08:29:14 PM »

Hi, firstly I know  breast issues have  comes up in other threads but mine is a sudden onset so am a bit confused ! Any input would be greatly appreciated !
Im 56, and have been on HRT for about 14 months. Mirena for progesterone and  estradol gel.
No problems until a couple of weeks ago. when both breasts started  to really ache  with very sore nipples, they feel swollen too. In fact it reminds me of how they felt when pregnant.
I've done some reading up and it sounds like a hormonal issue but I'm a bit confused about it all really as if this was a meno symptom does this mean my HRT is now becoming insufficient or does this just happen whether on HRT of not ?
Just seems strange how I was  ok for a year then this happens.
As it's both breasts Im not over concerned as I would be if it was just in one.
I've started to take starflower oil capsules .
Any views would be great.
Thanks Ladies x

Hello Orba. I would think it is hormonal as this happens to me often. Lately my breasts have been very sore for no apparent reason.

Hi flossie,
Thanks for a reply. I'm sorry you have this too, let's hope it passes soon.
Seems to be another recurring meno symptom then.
I 'll see if the starflower helps me .x
