If you have 'noristithone' - is that the drug to ease heavy bleeding? Then use it.
MayB ask for a referral to a dedicated menopause specialist clinic: Gynaecologists and GPs often don't know much about menopause!
It is never too late to lose weight. Not now though, I would wait until the end of January. Keeping a diary of your daily/nightly food intake over the next few weeks will see what you actually eat that might not be the best ;-) : then don't buy it. If it isn't there you won't reach for it. MinL used a weight watchers idea of weighing everything she ate each evening: butter on a saucer for example, when the saucer was empty that was it for that day. It worked for her and she did keep the weight off. Lots of fruits and veg., finding different ways of cooking it .... we love veg. roasted in the oven or stir fried in soy sauce (says I, who never cooks; I have a Chef don't you know

I don't think that dieting will make any impact on heavy bleeding. Keeping hydrated will help as the body loses a lot of liquid. In the New Year find out if you are anaemic?
Get those feet up in front of the 📺. Rest as much as you are able to.
