Cyclical to Continuous HRT
« on: November 30, 2022, 06:15:23 PM »

Hi All

Have been on Novofem for quite a few years.  I asked my GP to review the meds as I’m 57 been on HRT for 7 years.  Was on lowest dose of Novofem having regular “periods”.  Very regular and only around 5 days long.  As part of her assessment she sent me for a scan.  Turns out I have Fibroids and potentially a polyp.  Waiting for gynae referral.  I’m now on day 20 of taking Kliovance.  Since day 17 I’ve been getting brown discharge and small amounts of fresh blood.  The meds packet does say this can happen. Was on Kliovance a few years ago and got changed back as I had the brown discharge for 3 months and practice nurse said I probably wasn’t as through the menopause as they thought!  I’ve never been told what my levels are as I’ve never been tested to my knowledge.  Does anyone have a similar experience who can pass on any tips/reassurance? Thanks!
