Oestrogel and hair shedding
« on: November 30, 2022, 10:55:31 AM »

Hi

I've been on 2 pumps of Oestrogel for 9 weeks, with 100 mg of utrogestan vaginally every other night and a small amount of andromfeme daily. I have felt much better overall on it, but the side effect that is getting to me is considerable hair shedding, which is completely new to me. My scalp tingles a lot. Newson clinic has said that the hair shedding may calm down after 3 full  months on Oestrogel or has said that I could swap to Estradot. I just don't know what to do as I really don't want to lose any more hair.

Did anyone find that if they persevered with the Oestrogel the hair shedding did calm down and has any one swapped to Estradot and experienced an improvement in hair shedding.

Any comments, shared experience and help massively appreciated.

Sarah

I pressed the wrong button  >:(

Whilst in the bath I read something about this in a magazine last night - when I find said magazine I'll be back.  If not, give me a  :kick:

Thanks so much @mollydolly.

Can I ask what you prefer about the Estradot over the Oestrogel?....it all feels a bit of a minefield  :'(
