HRT and bloating
« on: November 29, 2022, 04:27:12 PM »

Hi. I have recently been put on Evorel 50 patches twice weekly and Utragestan 100 at night for GSM. I've been on vaginal Estriol which has worked well for 7 years but suddenly become completely ineffective. I've had only one patch and two Utragestan before I started getting bloated and abdominal cramps. I stopped the Utragestan and took off the patch and I feel normal again ......but the urinary discomfort has returned.
Do I go back to my GP or persevere for a while to see if symptoms recede?
I've read on here that its the progesterone at fault especially if the oestrogen is low. I'm 71 and stopped HRT 15 years ago so I guess I have no oestrogen left. Somebody here, on another thread suggested taking the oestrogen only for a few weeks then starting the progesterone.
I started another thread because the one I'm referring to last had a reply in January?
Anybody any ideas?
Thanks   :-\ :-\
