Well that was disastrous, took the 2lots 100 utrogesten before bed felt sleepy yes but o my god woke in night with headache felt like I’d been hit by a sledgehammer cos makes you sleepy thought I was having a hypo so had food, bit panicky with it too, eventually now up but have ibs so straight to loo for number 2 and feel sick and still bit of headache. Taken paracetamol but absolutely not taking anymore of that or the oestrogen gel ,will ring doctor this morning to let them know. I k ow it says a side effect it really? Makes you feel shite and doesn’t do much for anxiety!

How long before it leaves my system if I don’t take anything else?

Morning.  Side effects can be demoralising.  It was the same when I tried anti-depressant medication - it took 5 lots B4 we found 1 that didn't make me nauseous within hours  :-\.  Sorry, don't know how long it lasts in the system.  If 1 has to use it nightly, then probably not long.

I can relate.  When I started oestrogel the anxiety and not sleeping abated really quickly.  You need estrogen in your system not just vaginally - get started on it.  :)

It wasn’t oestrogen that got me was progesterone

Ah okay sorry - I didn't read your earlier post.  Progesterone can definitely do that.  I've a friend who is much younger than me and definitely sensitive to progesterone.

I really am sorry. What a horrid reaction you have had. I hope you are able to rest today and it passes soon.
