Breast pain
« on: November 21, 2022, 08:00:51 PM »

Hi all,
I posted before about being on hrt, I was only on it for 2 weeks and was advised to come off for a while. I've been off it for 2 weeks now but I have a really painful right breast. They both feel huge and full but look ok. The right one is really uncomfortable on the right side. Feels hormonal. Could it be me messing around with my hormones?

I am really sorry to hear you are in pain. I would suspect it is hormonal. I get breast pain often and mine are also very full. I would take some pain relief to try to help with the pain and swelling.

Thank you.
It seems to be later in the day, all that carrying them about I guess!

It may help to get a softer or more supportive bra. I have found that helpful.

Hello ladies.

I have recently been reducing my HRT (Sandrena gel) due to very tender breasts and heavy bleeding. Thankfully the bleeding resolved quickly but the breast tenderness took weeks to completely go. I noticed a difference after a few days and they felt less painful and swollen over the following weeks.  Perhaps breast tissue reacts differently to HRT changes so the response time is also different.

I hope this helps in some way.

Take care everyone.

Hi, just to let you know I was having the odd pain from left breast ,and it is noticeably larger, and heavy,a few weeks ago i seen a breast specialist, he was so good, sent me straight for mammogram, and scan , I have lots of dense tissue in my breast , usually the dense tissue starts to turn to the normal breast tissue as you get older, as I’m 64 he thinks HRT is maintaining the dense tissue, he stressed this can be very normal and that HRT is excellent, remain on it,,, hope this puts some minds at rest xx
