The effects of HRT
« on: November 20, 2022, 06:10:32 PM »

When taking Hrt is it the estrogen patch or the progestorone (utrogestan) that causes you to feel like you are having a period?

Does this mean too much estrogen, not enough, too much progestorone, not enough.

I wish I could understand it more.

Hi Keohane 1,

If it's giving you unbearable side-effects then it's best to stop taking it and switch to something else.

I'm not on HRT as I don't want any side-effects of all sorts.  This kind of progesterone can only be artificial as it's not produced by the body.  It would be much better, for those of us who still have a womb, if we did not have to take progesterone.

Are you on a conti (where you take utro every day) or a sequi regime (utro for 12 days a month)? If it's sequi and you're on the utro phase you probably are about to have a period, it usually comes a couple of days after you stop.
