« on: November 06, 2022, 01:26:22 PM »

Hey Guys,

So my brain fog/Memory is awful and my Dr is upping my HRT once again to see if this helps, but in the mean time I just wondered if anyone experienced a stutter with there's?? Mine has been for last few months... I really struggle to get words out or finish sentences....

Nope, what is that?? The Dr just keeps upping my HRT every time I struggle with a symptom... I will be just one massive walking hormone soon 😅

It’s the hormone you need to take to protect your womb (presuming you don’t have yours) from too much oestrogen. Progesterone withdrawal can be quite brutal, and I struggle to speak coherently at this time as it takes such a toll on my body.

Hope this helps x

I don't have my womb no more.... I had a blood test to make sure my body was absorbing the HRT and it is... I just don't know at what point the Dr can try something else?!?

I stutter and stammer in the middle of a sentence. I forget the word I am looking for and my mind goes blank. It is frustrating.

Is this since Menopause as well? How is your brain fog?

Yes it only came with menopause. I get brain fog a lot too.

Maybe your oestrogen is too high,; too high can be as problematic as too low. I stumble on my words when my body is struggling (because of the progesterone), maybe your body is struggling too but for a different reason.

The only other thing I can think of is to try testosterone, if you’re not already that is?

Just to add that it's also a symptom of high anxiety, not always hormone related.

I’m sure it is Ayesha. Funnily enough it always used to happen to me when my period was due. I’d be fine for the rest of the time. So there is a direct correlation (for me) when I’m not well and conversely I might be anxious then because of how I’m feeling - if you see what I mean x

That is a very good point.

I had my levels tested when I was put on 125mg and they said I was fine to be in that amount so I'm assuming it was all ok.

Yeah my anxiety is a bit more up and down at the mo as well actually... I just thought it was to do with the brain fog as I always ALWAYS forget what I'm saying
