anxiety and low moodp
« on: November 02, 2022, 01:10:37 PM »

Hi

I am new to this forum but just wanted some advise , I am 54 years old.  i was prescribed oestergel back in feb 22 but was out of stock so was put on Lenzettto spray once daily and utrogestron 100 mg at night .   no changes really good or bad so in sept 22 when the oestergel came in stock started this two pumps daily .  within a week started with bleeding and dreadful anxiety and fatigue  .  i persevered for a month then went back  onto  my lenzetto spray beginning of Oct 22.  since then i have continued with a constant nervous stomach, low mood and extreme tiredness.  i have spoke to a hrt specialist today who believes my anxiety  is hormone related although this is something i have suffered with over the years .  she has advised me to increase my lenzetto  spray to two sprays and again if no improvement with this go upto three sprays .  what are peoples views sick of having a constant agitated stomach

Hello Jocarter and welcome to the forum.  :)

Anxiety is horrible and I am sorry you are having to deal with this constantly. Do you think this is hormonal? I think you will know your body best. I was wondering if you would benefit from taking anxiety medication. It can be very helpful along with HRT.

Hi Jocarter and welcome to the forum. Have you tried patches? Evorel are very good. I tried gel but didn’t get a consistent dose and this won’t help with mood/anxiety.

The other thing to consider is the continuous progesterone. This is notorious for causing anxiety/low mood and may not be suiting you. The way around this would be to take it in a sequential regime and that way you give your body a break x

hi
I am already on AD and have been stable for approx 4 years it’s only since starting HRT and changing from lenzetto to oestrogel that the anxiety increased .  i’ve now switched back and am hoping things will settle down

I hope things do settle down for you. It is good to know that you were stable before HRT so you can be sure it is hormonal related anxiety.

I can totally relate to the awful feeling in the stomach area it drives me mad along with the other awful symptoms I am trying to cope with awful insomnia low mood and awful agitated feeling especially on waking along with palpitations night sweats no enthusiasm for anything . It feels like I am running and doing a crossword at the same time and feel like I am not comfortable in my own skin to relax down to get back to sleep when I wake up at silly o’clock usually 4am  if that makes sense . I describe the feeling like butterfly’s in the stomach like you would get if you were waiting to do a speech in front of loads of people, but kind of tight feeling mixed with a weird period pain and bladder type feeling .Literally  some days I feel like I am going crazy and all these symptoms have caused me to have awful health anxiety because I just can’t believe you can feel this bad and keep thinking I have some rare disease I am on hrt but currently tweeting my dose of oestrogen as recommended by dr  I am on Everol 50 patch plus now adding in an extra pump of gel to see if this improves everything and also ultrogestran 100mg nightly xx you are not alone
