Thyroid and Progesterone (norehisterone in my case)
« on: November 03, 2022, 05:06:09 PM »

Hi all

I have an underactive thyroid and really struggle with it.  I cannot miss a dose of thyroxine, I would know within hours as I would stop functioning properly, mental and physical exhaustion.  It happens that quickly.

But on my second norehisterone patch I find everything 'lifts' for a few days.  Today is one of those days.  I'm functioning really well and I actually forgot my thyroxine this morning, which I can never do.  And I've been doing well and only just remembered now.

I'm thinking of asking to see an endocrinologist, because there are times in my cycle, even if its just a day or two, when my thyroid condition is alleviated.  I would have thought that would give a clue to what is needed to resolve the condition.

Anyone else with hypothyroidism noticed this?
