Salty taste

Good morning all
I am relatively new to HRT but I’ve been reading up on all your knowledgeable & wise words & wondered if you can help. I’ve only been taking HRT ( Utrogestan 2x100 tablets & 1 pump of Oestrogel nightly ) for about 6 weeks but have noticed a salty taste in my mouth during the day along with a slight headache ( feels nasally) across my nose but this has only been since I’ve started the HRT - I’ve tried getting a telephone call back with the doctors but they are always fully boooked . Has anyone else experienced this or can offer any thoughts or advise ? It’s not a major problem , more annoying than anything , but any advise would be greatly received.

Morning. Sometimes during peri-menopause taste buds can be altered. For some allergic rhinitis becomes more problematic. Taste/smell alters. It is continual?

As for not being able to get a call back, all Surgeries should be seeing patients face2face. If I couldn't get an appt I would turn up at the Surgery with a letter for the Practice Manager and my GP who may not be aware of the problems.

Hi CLKD, It’s on & off but I seem to get to get it more than not. It’s not as bad as it was, so my way of thinking is because I’m only 6 weeks in , my body is still adjusting . It’s not unusual for my doctors surgery to be the way it is , unfortunately whatever you do makes no difference! I’ll just have to keep trying …. Thanks for replying 😊

When I had 'tamoxifen' my sense of taste and smell were really acute
