Hi all,
Been feeling a bit rubbish these last few days. Tired, irritable, lower tummy cramps etc and slight spotting.

On 75 patch ( 2+ years) and mirena (4 month’s ).  Feels like PMT right now.

Had hysteroscopy in April and all was okay.

Any ideas what could be going on? I am post menopause.

Ovaries can still pump out hormones occasionally  .  Hence the PMT symptoms?

I am so sorry that you are suffering.

I have always thought that spotting was a sign of too much Oestrogen but I could be wrong of course. I do know that my recent experience with bleeding was due to my Sandrena gel being too high and I was told to lower the dose which I have done. Like you my investigations were okay so the HRT was definitely the problem.

I think you have used 50mcg patches in the past but they didn't control your symptoms, is that right? If so perhaps cutting a patch to arrive at say a 67mcg patch would be worth trying?

It is a nightmare to try and work out what is going on so you are not alone in your struggles.

I just feel horrendous at present. Exhausted and flat.

I’m experiencing a lot of pain at the moment and am thinking all sorts ( secondary Breast cancer in particular ☹️).

I don’t think I’m absorbing much of the patch these days either. Just sick of all these up and down days. Last week I felt fine.  Come the weekend, it feels like I’m dying! 😢

Oh I hate it all.

Honestly, I have imagined so many scenarios today. Heart attack, cancer, low oestrogen..

Going to have to push for an mri or some kind of scan I think.

Hello again Nas.

This turmoil is exhausting isn't it.

Would you be able to arrange an abdominal scan to put your mind at rest?

 Like you I have up and down times. Last week I was out with a friend on Thursday and the menopause Gods were kind to me and I felt fine, good infact. Friday I was having lunch with family and a bit wobbly but okay, Saturday not too bad but Sunday I was jangly all day, it was horrible Oh and yesterday the flushes came back!

It is awful to be at the mercy of these blooming hormones and you have my sympathy.

I am sorry that I can't be of more help but as you know you are not alone.
