I use 100mg utrogestan orally and 100mg vaginally, I administer my utrogestan at bedtime.

My GP/Gynaecoloist know I had history of abnormal bleeds.

I am one of those ladies who have a dependence on benzodiazepines, and, for those who don't know, the metabolites of utrogestan, the progesterone we produce ourselves, and all progestins, act on GABA receptors just like benzodiazepines.

As diazepam stays in the system longer than progesterone, I feel "up-and-down" as I take the progesterone once a day.
To stabilise, I want to take one oral progesterone in the morning on empty stomach, (It does not make me sleepy) and I want to take one at bedtime orally.

My questions are, does vaginal utrogestan reduce risk of bleeding?
Am I more likely to experience a return of bleeds if I take the 200mg utrogestan all orally?

Thanks
