I’ve been on HRT for a few years and and have had to tinker with it from virtually day 1. last year all seemed to be fine on a combo of Evorel 100, Testogel and a Mirena. This year it started going down hill again and menopause clinic did blood tests which showed my estrogen levels were low again (236). I’ve been advised to double my patches taking me up to 200 ie 2x100 patches. That was on Friday, the same day I was tested for a DVT. Both menopause clinic and DVT clinic said it was ok, although DVT clinic didn’t ask how much I was on.

I’m now taking Fragmin injections for 10 days and then have to go for a scan. I wasn’t worried until a friend sent me a link on netdoctors that said  you shouldn’t use Evorel with a DVT.

I’ve rang the menopause clinic but could take them 10 days to get back to me.

I upped my patches to 150 by cutting one in half, and thought I’d do this for a week or so and then take up to 200. However now I’m not sure I should be taking any.

If anyone else has experience of using Evorel and Fragmin I’d love to hear. Thanks.
