Yes Dotty, it’s likely I need a higher dose. I’ve just moved to the 100 patch from 75. Will see how things are in a month or so. I can’t get a higher dose; specialist won’t prescribe it
Perinowpost, I don’t think it’s the mirena, things were slipping before it was fitted. Plus I’ve got low oestrogen symptoms.
Happy, do you think the coil was contributing to your symptoms then? The trouble is, I will bleed on utrogestan if the coil is removed. 🤦♀️
What are low oestrogen symptoms?
I am wondering, as I have been waking up with that "Perimenopause-related-morning-dread" again, lately.
I was not having any improvements, moving in stages from 50mcg, to 75mcg, the flushes did not go, or the IBS. My mood did not improve and still hasn't, but I noticed my flushes and IBS went on 100mcg within a couple of days, max, but I know each woman is individual.
My low mood could be due to my personal stressful non meno circumstances, my autism, or any other factor.
I hope the 100mcg evorel starts working asap, if I am correct, they say give three months after a change in HRT.
As for clinicians refusing to prescribe more oestrogen than 100mcg, part of me thinks this is unreasonable, because a few women do need more, I have read on here, some women needing more, yet at the same time, the clinicians are concerned about oestrogen related cancer.
I had to reduce from 100mcg because of bleeds and messing with progesterone, luckily, my flushes did not come back until I reduced down to 25mcg, and then, it is only night sweats.
