Bloating
« on: August 05, 2022, 07:15:09 AM »

Morning,

I was on 100mg of HRT patch and have gone up to 125 in the last few weeks and I've noticed really bad bloating since then. I eat one little thing and my belly bloats and feels like I've eaten a massive meal and its soooo uncomfortable. I don't have a womb so I know it's not that.
I had a chicken drumstick and a pack of crisps yesterday afternoon and I'm laying here on pain and looking 6 months pregnant.
Could it be the increase of HRT?

Yes this can happen when starting or increasing and should settle down. Certain foods can make it worse.

I know, I’ve had that before. You could try drinking 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 1 cup water before meals, this can help with GERD type symptoms. Also something warm on your tummy can ease the discomfort. Some teas are helpful too. I think staying away from high salt foods would be a good idea too.
