Hello everyone

Looking a for a little reassuring advise please ?
I’ve been taking HRT for 3 months now, ( patches & progesterone tablets for 14 days) In the last week I have increased to the 75mg patches and in the last 4 days I have a very uncomfortable ache in my rectum 😬😬😬 is this to do with HRT ? Just at the end of my 14 day progesterone tablets so period should be due.

Any help gratefully appreciated as it’s making me quite anxious 😥, can’t get a gp appointment for days and still waiting for a reply from my Menapause consultancy !

Morning.   Certainly hormones affected my bowel - 10 mins prior to a bleed I would get 'the runs' even if a period wasn't due.

You have reminded me that the coxxcy (sp) area would feel inflamed and 'full' - mayB moving up to 75 all at once might have caused the ache.

Hopefully someone will be along with more knowledge than I have.

I think it’s possible yes. I sort of had similar, lower back ache and felt like my bowel movements were much firmer and less regular. It could also be period related?
