Hi
I had a blood test done few months ago and doctor said my levels were that of post menopause, however, my cycle over the last few months has been every 20 days.
What causes regular cycles like this, too low estrogen or progesterone?
I must still be in period, I think...

Hi! my periods waxed and waned for years as I went into peri-menopause. Some months would be normal, others would be missing for weeks/ months
We have to count each month without as getting closer to actual menopause: however, Nature throws in the occasional curved ball so back we go to month 1

Was it your FSH that was tested? I think you need at least 2 high readings over a month apart. One high reading is a very good indicator but not absolute because they can fluctuate during peri...

If you are having periods: even if they are regular or months apart : you are in peri-menopause.
Menopause is the last monthly period.

You are not post menopausal until you have had a year without periods. My FSH was over 120 and my GP said I wouldn't have any more periods but I went on to have fairly regular ones for over a year before starting HRT. I was 52 at the time.
