I have been post menopausal for 15 years and on Femisten Conti HRT . Have had episodes of very heavy bleeding for years and a number of hysteroscopy and been told I had fibroids so I just put up with it. Recent investigations have given me a diagnosis of Adenomyosis. Gp asked me to contact consultant myself! Anyhow not sure what all this means. I know Mirena is an option but I can’t use the Mirena. I suspect the permanent ache I have is this now and not irritable bowel. Can you keep taking HRT with it? My menopause has been really difficult and can’t imagine life without it. Anyone else have it? I thought of paying to see a menopause specialist before this but does this need a gynaecologist if so any recommendations?
