Stopping HRT
« on: May 23, 2022, 01:20:04 PM »

I have been on Femseven Patches for about 4 weeks, i am now reacting to them badly and can't stand the irritation any longer. Prior to that i have been using Estrogel with Mirena for 5 years and got on very well with it. I have a Mirena fitting booked for 5 weeks time, second attempt as GP couldn't find strings. So hope they find them this time!

I was using 3 pumps of Estrogel, as Femseven patch is only a 50mcg i have reduced dose but what symptoms am i likely to get if dropping suddenly?

I originally went on systemic HRT because of VA and palpitations.

Just don't know if to struggle on until Thursday as i have to do a long motorway drive that morning and don't want to feel anxious and jittery.

I can't remember whether you are using an appropriate treatment for the vaginal atrophy? which can be given independently of HRT.

If you have a long journey I wouldn't drop HRT in case I felt worse.
