We can't alter it PF.  I did wonder the same but having talked in length to the Manager of the Home where Mum is, the Government fails to pay more than a set amount per client.  How a private home can go out of business baggers belief!  Mum pays £700.00 per week full board, assisted bathing, trips out are extra.  However much the Manager asks her local MP for assistance the more she gets ignored  :-\, they simply don't have to know as they will get private care - which we of course have paid for ..........

At least if I pay for my room I can have private facilities in the home of my choice.  Some non-funders don't get the choice, especially if transferred  directly from Hospital.

Having been looking into various aspects of lack of care, I realised today that there is no dental pathway for those in Care, especially if the resident is unable to travel.

I don't know whether this applies to BUPA care homes  :-\
