Fake tanning lotion
« on: April 19, 2022, 07:16:45 AM »

Hi all 😍

This is a daft question, but can fake tan interfere with absorption of oestrogen gel?

Probably.  If using both avoid the area where the HRT is applied?

I would suggest that any changes to the surface of the skin will alter the absorption to some extent - no idea how much or whether significant.

As CLKD says - I would avoid applying gel to the area you have applied fake tan to  - but only if recent application of fake tan if you see what I mean? Once the fake tan has been absorbed and done its job and sufficient time has elapsed - and you have showered etc your skin will be pretty much the same as before (I imagine!) - because the cream - which could act as a barrier - will no longer be there?
