Testosterone questions
« on: April 16, 2022, 07:09:45 AM »

Hi Ladies,

Do you rub the pea sized amount in or leave it to dry ?

Does previous application of fake tan effect absorption ?

How long do you wait before showering after application?

Are there any tips for squeezing out the gel from the testogel tube?

I used my first pea sized blob yesterday!
As the gel was watery it was a flat pea! I have got a paper clip for the end.
I intend to rotate the area and start with 4 days in a row then Monday , Wednesday and Friday.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi Pepperminty

1. You rub it in
2. Shouldn’t do
3. At least an hour

Also rotate where you apply it.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nik2502,

yes great thanks, your reply is much appreciated ! I left yesterdays and rubbed in today's! I am going to rotate, either leg by knee, sole of foot, inner arm and maybe stomach?

Hi Pepperminty,

I put the blob on my inner wrist and use the other to rub it in.
Not sure on the fake tan.
I aim to put it on after shower but would leave it an hour before shower, washing up etc.

I store the sachet standing up in the fridge with a peg, I don’t think it needs chilling though, just easier to remember where it is.

Please let us know how you get on!
Happy Easter!

I was told by an NHS menopause specialist to just smear on thinly, not rub in? I'm.absorbing well from the levels doing it that way. 👍

I’ve stArted doing minimal rubbing in too and allowing to dry and feel I’m absorbing better. Xx

Would testosterone help with bladder issues? Do Oestrogen levels  need to be optimized first? X

Morning ladies. I’m in 1ml Androfem which I apply to alternate thighs. Not having a great effect if I’m honest. Any tips? I have to run it in as it’s so much cream and don’t think I would be able to leave it to dry would this be effecting my results from it?

As Androfemme is a cream, I guess you are meant to rub it in. With the testosterone gels things are different, as the active ingredient is absorbing while the alcohol evaporates from the surface of the skin. I think both types of preparation can take a few months to get the full effects.

Ah, sharp thinking, Sherlock! The difference in applying gel from cream! Can well and truly vouch for the "few months" thing. 👍

Does that apply to all hormones Joaniepat? Creams you rub in and gels you leave to dry? x

To the best of my knowledge, yes, for most preparations. They should give instructions with the product's Patient Information Leaflet.

Interesting that so many are getting testosterone.  How have you done it, private or GP and what tests prior,if any?Peppermint, hope you don't mind me asking when it was your post.
