hello I was changed from patches to estogel and utrogestin in jan 2020 all has been great but on friday night i had a bit of brownish spotting but today it is still brown but like a full on period, my last period was over 15 years ago, going to call the doctor tomorrow should i be worried

Sometimes even when periods have finished, there is enough ovary 'left' to have a party occasionally  .  I expect that you will be referred for a scan to check the womb lining which is normal procedure.

Try not to worry until you have a result ;-).  How long had you been on HRT over all?

CLKD, just had a call back from the doctor it is a locum she was shocked that at 61 I am still on HRT and wants to see me at 11, my doctor is on holiday so I think I am going to have a fight on my hands will update you when I have spoke to her

Hello CLKD just thought i would let you know that doctor is referring me for a scan and to have bloods done so just need to wait for app now, thank you for your help

It may help to take the NICE guidelines, they used to say you should stop hrt at 60 but now there is no age limit. Some women aren't meno until their early 60s. I would be inclined to swerve the locum if she's likely to take you off it. Are you using utro continuously or as a sequi regime? If sequi a bleed can be expected.

CLKD my doc has said if I have not heard within 3 weeks to get back to her and she will push it so finger crossed not too long

Two weeks is the outside that one should have to wait for gynaecological problems.
