I live with my mother and she is the most amazing, supportive cheerleader. I feel lucky and blessed to have her - and all of you - in my corner.
I did get a bit of good news this afternoon. My gynecologist called to check in on me and let me know the pathology results from my biopsy had been updated. Because of the size of the tumor she couldn't get the scope too far into my uterus, but she now believes that the cancer is in my uterus and not my cervix. She said that the cancer would be easier to treat. I almost fainted in relief!
I'm having the initial consult with oncology on Friday and the scans are now scheduled for April 12. They needed to push the scans back so my insurance has time to review my test results and approve the PET and MRI.
In the meantime, I'm taking Tylenol and oxycodone to keep the debilitating cramps at bay. I'll keep everyone updated on my progress.
