Too much or too little?
« on: March 21, 2022, 07:49:34 AM »

Hi all

Quick advice please as never had this before.

Been on same dose Oestrogel since last summer and same progesterone since November.  No other changes to medication in an age.

Suddenly the world is spinning madly and I feel sick. Should I try more or less Oestrogel to reduce this or more or less progesterone? Guess it is probs O levels and trying to decide whether to not have any today or to have an extra pump to help.

Or is it not the HRT?

There is a common virus which causes labyrinthitis. Has this come on suddenly? Is it worse lying down? I would say that medical advice is needed here really. It's a horrible feeling. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/labyrinthitis/

Yes it has come on suddenly. Any movement causing it.

Ok will stick with HRT and hope it goes shortly.  Thanks

Hi I think you need to see a doctor to rule other things out as Taz says xx

Labyrinthitis is quite a complicated thing to deal with. Also you are not supposed to drive while suffering from it so bear this in mind. You have to tell DVLA is you still have it after three months. A doctors diagnosis is a good thing to have just to rule out anything else. The standard treatment for labyrinthitis is a medication which calms down the symptoms but can lead to it lasting longer. The virus is often carried by children but they don't experience symptoms.
