Lenzetto running out before doses complete?
« on: March 20, 2022, 03:17:22 PM »

Hi,
Is anyone else finding this? I still have three doses to go, six sprays, but it's clearly running very low, if not almost out. I've fought to get a new prescription in time, but no sign of it yet! 😱

Hi Postmeno,
I don't take Lenzetto so no direct experience but I can say that there are definitely problems with the dosing and potency of this product - it is not as strong as was previously thought (as confirmed by Nick Panay) which means people can't reliably calculate the dose they're aiming for.
I myself have recently swapped from gel to patches but am very much keeping my remaining gel stash on standby just in case as I too would be worried about being left empty handed (especially with shortages of some products).
I hope you get your new prescription asap.

Thanks, me too! It's awful we're all thinking of back-up plans! I'm really questioning it as a delivery method and hope to hear from users, but I note even things like there may be less pressure from the less dominant hand spraying and so, the alternating may be delivering inconsistent amounts. It's so, so efficient in many ways.....very quick drying, easy to use and seems to be readily absorbed, but the uneven consistency of delivery if true is a cause for concern with my very fluctuating symptoms just now. 🤔

Not good news Postmeno3!
Have you looked in the BMS website?

Thanks. Yes, the BMS website says 3 sprays are the equivalent of 50s. I'm on 2 and the specialist insists it's a "reasonable" dose, not wanting to up it with the introduction of testosterone. The Lenzetto patient leaflet states that even quantities are released throughout. Hmmmm....🤔 It's just run out completely.

Mine definitely runs out before the time it should. I have started swapping to a new spray when I think it is happening ie the spray mark isn’t as big or wet as it should be. I use patches as well so this is to top up my dose, I can still feel the difference though. I make sure I get another ordered pretty much as soon as I start using a new spray. I’ve also stopped using the dose grid on the box  :)

That's me really running out at 46 of the 56 supposed sprays this time. I find it inconsistent throughout, though. Some days, the full area is wet, others less so. I'm not doing anything different on these days, so it's really hard to figure out what's going on with it whilst not feeling very reassuring at all! My symptoms aren't improving and I do wonder if it's down to the inconsistency or dosage or both! 🤔

Very interesting - I have been on Lenzetto for a year and have never experienced it running out before the end of the box, in fact i find the opposite to be true (I always throw it away when i reach the end of the dates even though the product is still dispensing.) How many test sprays are you doing? I tend to do more than the 3 advised so I always tick off about 5 days at the start of a new box.

Lenzetto has worked for me when others (patch, gel) didn't, so I do think a lot depends on personal experience, but it's clearly true (not least from so many other people's experiences I've observed here) that Lenzetto is not as strong as the manufacturers first advertised.

I do three test sprays and tick them off in the separate section for that. I'm on a two spray dosage which may not be as strong. The immediate absorbency makes me wonder about that, but great to hear someone doing so well on it! 👍

I'm never convinced that after the 3 test sprays it's "ready" so I usually do 4 or 5 and tick those off. Although I am generally a fan of Lenzetto I do think the manufacturer could have come up with a cleverer way to monitor how much product there is left instead of us needing to tick off the box!

Good luck with it - hope it helps you as much as it has me  :)

Gilla999....I hope you don't mind me asking, but how many sprays are you using daily? Do you supplement it with anything else? So, you tick the three "0" starter spray boxes and then 1 and 2 on the grid? Thanks. Yes, not exactly a sophisticated monitoring method! 😂

I was previously using 2 sprays, but around December time my own E plummeted dramatically (took me a while to figure out why I was getting a reemergence of all my symptoms, then confirmed by a blood test). At that point I increased to 3 sprays in Jan/Feb and was fine. However since having Covid 3 weeks ago I've had another reemergence of all of my symptoms and despite increasing to 4 sprays I haven't been able to get back to normal yet - so still experiencing my classic 3am insomnia, palpitations, night sweats etc. So I'm in limbo a bit at the moment! 2 sprays worked fine for me for a long time though - no other supplementation.

Yes exactly - I tick the 3 starter spray boxes and then 2 of the "real" boxes. Only because I've never really felt like 3 initial pumps was enough to get the full dose to appear, but it's probably just over-cautiousness. I guess that means I use my monthly supply slightly more quickly, but I've never had any questions from my GP when I get it on repeat prescription!

Great! Thanks. I actually popped a post up on the "Balance" app and all the replies so far seem to be agreeing that it's an inconsistent delivery.

I've heard this a few times but never experienced it myself - and I guess the question is perhaps you just are able to notice what seems like an inconsistent dose with Lenzetto vs the patch or a pump of gel where the nature of the product is that you wouldn't notice it, if that makes sense. (The patch because it's a patch and the gel because it's a larger amount of gel and you wouldn't see small differences). I would have thought all products are tested to within an inch of their life but who really knows! If it's not as potent as they first thought, then anything is possible...!

Hello,
I just wanted to share something I found out about the lenzetto spray which some people might find helpful. Each spray as you know has 56 sprays. If you divide that by the amount if sprays you take daily then that will tell you how many days to use it for before starting a new spray. For example. I use 3 sprays a day so divide 3 by 56 which gives you 18. So I know to use the spray for 18 days and then start a new one. I got this information from a doctor talking to Lisa Snowdon on her Instagram.
