Perimenopausal Vision Problems And Headaches
« on: March 17, 2022, 07:21:36 PM »

Hi, has anyone else experienced eye pain and headaches when going through the Perimenopause. Over the last few weeks, I've been experiencing both symptoms quite badly.
My left eye especially just seems to ache all the time.
Will this get easier with time, or I have got these problems for a long time ?. Just looking for advice, thank you x

Have you had an eye test recently? I would have one in case you need glasses.

Hi @TraceyDenise

Sorry to hear you have been experiencing headaches; these are my nemesis and the main symptom I suffer from as we go through this journey so you are not alone.

I would agree with Flossie that you would be best off getting a sight test done. My glasses did need tweaking a bit and they also picked up an increase in eye pressure which needed treatment. Of course I'm not suggesting that this is what your eye pain is, but it is worth getting checked. It could also be linked to dryness in the eye (yes, even our eyes can dry out in meno).

In perimenopause, expect the unexpected I think! Hope you can get sorted x
