Flushes come back??
« on: March 11, 2022, 08:36:28 PM »

Well I've been on 50mcg estradot for 6 weeks - the flushes, night sweats and adrenal surges completely disappeared very quickly, but for a few days/nights I've had some again, to a lesser degree.
The meno consultant said I should give it 6 months to assess changes before I increase the dose, and as the flushes have been the only change so far, I did want to persevere for another few weeks on 50mcg.
I can't find any information on this, can anyone please advise?

It's usually suggested on the Forum that it may take 3-4 months B4 symptoms ease.  However, I would be tempted to see if upping the dose slightly makes a difference over the next week.  It isn't an exact science.  Then ring the Consultant if there's an improvement and explain that "Hey your regime thus far is working and by upping the dose X, the flushes are being controlled" ;-)

I am sure that others who take HRT will be along with advice.

The advice is normally to give it 3 months not 6 so I would give it a bit longer. It does look as though you may need a higher dose though.
