Animal cruelty
« on: February 09, 2022, 06:41:50 PM »

Did anyone see the footage of that West Ham footballer drop kicking his cat, then slapping it hard across the face whilst his daughter was holding it? Then to top it all,his manager allowed him to play a game!!
What penalty do you think should be imposed on this idiot?

Yep! We’ve just been discussing it actually.

He’s already had his sponsorship cancelled, and the cats took off him.
That’s a start.

He should be put in a room with animal lovers, and have done to him, what he did to that poor cat. What a total b@*#:#*!!!!!! 🤬🤬

Jail.  Don't pick up £200.00.  I wonder if he is registered in the UK, if not he should be deported B4 his sentence, why should be pay for his food etc.

Adidas have stopped his sponsorship immediately
Another company have stopped deals with the football club because they failed to take a stand and allowed him to play

It appeared that the cat in the 'photo is a 'Bengal', a mix of wild cat and another (can't remember which).  They are quite wild and lively.  No excuses.  Both taken into RSPCA care.

He should be made to pay a huge fine also but made payable to the RSPCA,the cat wasn't being lively in the actual video, the little girl was carrying it and it looked docile, poor little thing. :'(

I'm hoping the power of public opinion will get him sacked. He was booed last night whenever he got the ball, let's hope that continues. 2 weeks pay is nothing.

Well said Sheila.👏

There was a woman in Leics a couple of months ago who was filmed kicking and hitting her horse. She was a teacher at a primary school and was sacked when this came to light.  He should be sacked too.

PF - she's pleading not guilty  >:(

And of course, if a black player is booed, it's racist. Regardless.

I wouldn't want her teaching my children.  If she can't realise that it's all over YouTube, RSPCA and Police being involved but she continues to plead not guilty  :-\.  In the UK one is innocent until proven guilty.  However!

I just hope the cats are rehomed and it hasn't ruined them in trusting people.
I could NEVER imagine even hitting one of my dogs, never mind kicking them, I think if you can do that, what else are you capable of?

It seems to accepted now that many people who start by abusing animals go on to do the same to people. It shows a lack of empathy and a lack on self control.

I think he should be banned from all professional sports, dropped from his club, assets frozen to repay whatever he’s cost the club/sponsors with anything left going to animal welfare. The wife and kids need to be assessed in case he’s knocking them about. Then a hefty chunk of community service and hopefully he’ll meet some folk in an alley way who are as sickened as me.
I can’t watch the vid or Google the write up.  :'(
