Please, please can someone help me.
I am 57, healthy, had a moderate peri menopause and stopped my periods finally about 18 months ago. I have never slept well, but this has improved since I cut down on alcohol.
Suddenly I am gaining pounds daily.
I gave up alcohol for 2 weeks and have also since cut down drastically.
I eat well, but do snack little & often, but compensate with smaller lunches.
I have upped my exercise to at least 5 times a week.
Nothing is giving - I continue to gain weight on my breasts, tummy and hips.
Its really getting me down as I am only 5ft 1, had eating problems as a young adult and been weight conscious always. Its affecting my self esteem and confidence and I am apologetic when I meet people as feel they must be thinking "holy cow, she is putting on the weight!
I appreciate that others may have much more serious issues, but this is serious for me as a person.
