Have additional prescription charges really been scrapped
« on: January 06, 2022, 02:16:13 PM »

Hi all, I know that in October the government announced that separate prescription charges for different hormone products and multiple batches would be scrapped but am wondering if this is true in practice (in England)? It was said that there would be one prescription charge for a 12month period:
"under the new government proposal, HRT prescriptions will be made available on an annual basis, meaning that someone only needs to pay the prescription charge once a year."
Is this just a case of promises, promises? I need to order a stash and would welcome anyone's feedback as to whether this 'proposal' has been implemented

Ring your local Pharmacists to see what the current policy might be?  Then let us know ;-)

I'm over 60 so it no longer applies.
