Flickering in peripheral vision
« on: December 08, 2021, 06:55:07 PM »

Hi, the last few weeks I’ve noticed flickering or wobblyness in peripheral vision - just my right eye.  At first, I thought it was just the start of another optical migraine, but this persists, even if I’ve taken migraine or headache tablets. In fact it seems to be there all the time, I just don’t notice it so much at certain times or in certain light environments.  I had a full check up at opticians and apparently my retina is fine and she can’t see any issues with my eyes.  I’m 50 and perimenopausal.

Has anyone else experienced this?

When tired I get an eyelid which flicks ............. I also have floaters which are so annoying.   They look like ants across the page or a full stop moving  ::)

This sounds like one of the symptoms of vitreous detachment. Did you have a full scan at the opticians. I've only just had a similar happening myself but it was more of a large pink floater which is now gradually shrinking in size. Did your optician advise you on what to watch out for in case it becomes worse?
