Hi Ladies,

I have been using 50 Evorel patches and 100 Utro continuous for the past three months with very little effect..yesterday I went for my three month review with my GP she has increased my dose to 75 and give me Oestrogel 3 pumps a day to use as said this prepartion is more effective than the patches..im just wondering what your ladies experiences are using Oestrogel....is three pumps alot?? Where and when will I apply ..ive just read part of the information leaflet there seems to be many sides effects i had no side effects whilst using the patches and just worried by using Oestrogel and the higher does i will present with side effects?? Maybe i should of just asked GP to keep me on the patches!!! Its a minefield ..any help would much appreciated...Thank you

I don't think it's a good idea to read the leaflets. I believe it's one of the things Menopause specialists are trying to get changed - the leaflet and it's doom mongering. Lots of us like oestrogel, it's very flexible. You may need to experiment with where you run it in, read through the threads on oestrogel, there are lots of them!
