Oestrogen dominance - is this possible in postmeno?

I've read something about oestrogen dominance in peri and postmeno. I understand it can happen in peri but I very much doubt that this would be the case in postmeno as oestrogen, like progesterone, declines even more in postmeno and I don't think that there is much fluctuation (if any) of these hormones.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.
