stopping long term HRT
« on: November 15, 2021, 03:41:22 PM »

Hi
I have been taking HRT for over 25 Years and before that Progesteron.
I now have to stop ( my GP was happy for me to keep going ) cos of a health concern ( breast lump)
I need advice from others about how to do this ..... time period etc
I have already cut down to the lowest dose
Thanks

How long until it gets investigated? When I had a lump I was advised to stop unless I couldn't cope without it, gp was happy with a reduction in dose. Turned out to be a cyst so needn't have done so. I haven't stopped so can't really advise but as you're already on the lowest you could just stop at any time? Have you managed to reduce without symptoms returning?
