  • changes can be scary, even when we want them

Hi.  Sounds like hormonal upheaval from where I'm sitting.

How old are you, do you have periods, ; why did you lower the antidepressant - it's surprising how much 'better' we can feel without being aware until we drop the dose.  I did that for years, without realising that my brain needed the boost.

U R very welcome.  As oestrogen levels drop the body may become dry inside and out, mood can alter and we may feel overwhelmed.  Take time for you, rest, exercise when you can and eat little and often.

I'm sorry things are difficult for you. There may be something else going on but I think your hrt may not be optimum. What are you on now and what dose? Conti or sequi? You may need more oestrogen or it may be you don't get on with the progestogen you're using. You may benefit from testerone though this will need a specialist to prescribe it. This should improve your libido but it also helped my low mood.
I know it's difficult when you feel miserable but it's important to look after yourself. You're more likely to feel good if you eat a healthy balanced diet and can get some exercise.

Hi and welcome Natalie,
Three months ago I could have written what you have. I was that low I didn’t know where or how to start getting well. I couldn’t have got on a bus or gone in a shop so good on you.
I’m not cured but I’m a hundred times better than I was.
Please post more.

This is how I’m feeling now.  Hiding away not wanting to go out and no interest in anything.  Sounds as though it’s all trial and error with HRT types and dosage and it takes time.  Fingers crossed you’re feeling much better
